Paper Gangsta

Wednesday, August 1

Anyone who knows me well knows how much I obsess over stationery. I also obsess over spelling and grammar but you can't always tell... considering I had been spelling it stationary instead of stationery for YEARS. Mortifying. But that was tangential. My point is that pretty paper goods are my crack. When I was a kid (and old enough to be left unattended, of course), my mom would leave me in the school supply aisle when she went grocery shopping. It was heaven. This obsession has not abated as I've aged. In fact, it's only grown stronger. That photo below is just a glimpse of some of the stationery I have in my desk drawer. Notecards, pads of paper, notebooks. It's a SERIOUS problem.

In the past, I've picked up a lot of paper goods at HomeSense but these days Etsy has completely taken over. My personal favourite is pixelimpress (which I thought read 'pixie lime press' instead of 'pixel impress' for way too long...oops!). I know Etsy can be a bit daunting for people who don't use it regularly, especially considering the sheer amount of junk people try to sell. Below are just a few of my favourite paper finds, curated to weed out the uglies.

  1. OMG a post after my own heart - this love of stationary really is the rock of our relationship haha. LOOOVE the gingham calling cards - do you think my students would think I'm an even bigger nerd if I handed those out?! Because I'm ok with that.

  2. LOVE! Vanessa in my search for your birthday present I seriously considered some stationery but realized you must have plenty. My point is clearly proven in this post. xo

  3. Why yes, yes I do love that notebook. If everyone loved grammar as much as I love that notebook, the world would be a much brighter place.
