Lobster Traps, Buoys, and Sailboats - Oh my!

Thursday, March 7

As promised on Tuesday, I'm back with a tour of the new Roots East Coast Flagship store on Spring Garden Road. You guys. It's sooo nice. The floors are this great greyish wood tone. Lots of white, distressed wood, metal. And a definitive Maritime vibe, with lobster traps, buoys, sailboats, and so much more. And of course, a few antlers for my antler-loving heart. Rather than describe the store to you, I'll let you see for yourself.
Vintage crates, old buoys, and a lobster trap?!
Distressed wood battens and black & white photographs
 Classic sweats in spring colours
How amazing are those distressed wood & metal tables?!
 I need that chair.
 One of many friendly faces
 Be still, my antler-loving heart.
Dressing room entrance and a not-so-hidden photographer.
Barnwood doors on the dressing rooms!
 Classic Roots vibe.
 More gorgeous wood.
Love the way the red lanterns pick up on the red varsity jacket & toque.
Another shot of the rustic industrial display tables.
 Behind the counter.
 Even the ceiling is cool.
 Tree slices (trivets?) for display.
So what do you think? Anyone else drooling over the little details, like me? Proud Maritimer that I am, I'm loving all the little nods to the East Coast - and the rustic industrial vibe is definitely my steeze these days. If you want to take a look for yourself, Roots is located on the corner of Spring Garden and Birmingham in downtown Halifax.
