I firmly believe that every room needs a little bit of whimsy.
Something fun, funny, or totally out-there that brings a smile to your
face every time it catches your eye. Awhile back, I stumbled on the Etsy shop,
trixie delicious, which does exactly that. I quickly became OBSESSED with her delicate vintage tea cups and the scandalous words she emblazons on each one. I just love the unexpected jolt you get when a ladylike element is juxtaposed with something so crass. Although these exact teacups are now sold, here are a few of my favourites from the shop:
Burke & Hare Co. is a similar Etsy shop, and although not all of their wares are to my particular taste, some of them are pretty hysterical, like the tea set below.
In fact, I couldn't help but treat myself to the little teacup pictured below (from Burke & Hare Co.), which now holds my laundry change.
